Meta Quest 3S (128 GB)

The Meta Quest 3S is an affordable virtual reality (VR) headset introduced by Meta, designed to provide an immersive VR experience at a competitive price point.

Key Features:

• Display: Each eye is presented with a resolution of 1832 x 1920 pixels, delivering clear and detailed visuals.

• Processor: Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, the same as in the higher-end Quest 3, ensuring smooth performance across various applications.

• Optics: Utilizes Fresnel lenses, which, while slightly bulkier than the pancake lenses found in the Quest 3, still offer a satisfactory visual experience.

• Controllers: Comes with Touch Plus controllers, providing precise input and control during VR interactions.

• Passthrough Mode: Features full-color passthrough capabilities, allowing users to see their real-world environment without removing the headset.

Performance and Reception:

While the Quest 3S offers significant improvements over its predecessor, the Quest 2, it has faced challenges in expanding the VR user base. Data indicates a 21% decrease in downloads of the Meta Quest app on Christmas Day 2024 compared to the previous year, suggesting a slower adoption rate.
